The stars of Snowcross say “Hei” to local fans in Finland

Joensuu (Finland) 13 April 2024 – In an Opening Ceremony for Round Two of the World Snowcross Championship, the top riders were presented to local fans and dignitaries at the Market Square in the city centre of Joensuu, just a few kilometres from the Joensuun Ravirata venue itself.

Infront SNX general manager Patricia Maskarova handed a special plate to local organisers Jarisport Oy represented by Kaisa Lokfors from the Suomen Moottoriliitto to show their appreciation for hosting the event, and riders such as the top 2 in the Championship Magnuss Reiten and Jesse Kirchmeyer enjoyed the hospitality and the enthusiastic reception of the Finnish Snowcross supporters.

Hosts Radka Mazakova welcomed FIM Delegate Samuel Timón Fuentes, Director of FIM Women’s Commission’s Janika Judeika, FIM Europe delegate Odd Georg Ostbyhaug of the national federation,and Infront SNX General Manager Patricia Maskarova to the stage then made a speech to welcome the riders to the event and officially get the race weekend underway!

Saturday at Joensuu will see the Qualifying heats for Sunday’s main races in all classes, which this weekend will see the beginning of the Women’s Snowcross World Championship, as well as the European Championship which will be decided on Sunday morning! 

The final round of the series will be held the following weekend at the VM Arena in Kirkenes, Norway, on the 20^th & 21^st of April.
