
MONACO (Principality of Monaco) 21 February 2025 – Infront Moto Racing is pleased to announce the entry lists for the inaugural round of the 2025 FIM Snowcross World Championship (SNX), set to take place in Joensuu, Finland on 28 February & 1 March.
The pinnacle of Snowcross racing returns for another thrilling season, with the first of three rounds kicking off in Finland. The event will take place at the Joensuu Snowcross Track, a venue renowned for its challenging terrain and passionate snowcross fanbase.
Preview of the 2025 SNX Season
Following an intense 2024 season, the 2025 FIM Snowcross World Championship is expected to deliver another year of exhilarating snowcross action, with several top riders returning to battle for the title.
Among the riders to watch this season:
• Aki Pihlaja (FIN – Lynx) – One of the main favourite for the title. With the home crowd behind him, the Finnish rider will have a great boost from the home fans in Joensuu. The Finnish missed the first round in Turkiye last season but went on to win the last 2 rounds back-to-back to end up on the FIM SNX World Championship podium. No doubt he will attack this season right from the start.
• Elias Ishoel (NOR – Ski-Doo) – One of the sport’s biggest stars, Although he sustained an injury last season and is on the path to come back, Ishoel is a proven championship contender who will be looking to play his part n 2025.
• Martin Johansson (SWE – Ski-Doo) – The Swedish racer is looking to make his mark on the new season. Having finished 6th last season, he will be there to better his mark for 2025.
• Robert Lunden (NOR – Ski-Doo) – A strong performer in previous years, but the Norwegian missed the podium in 2024, he will be aiming to challenge for podium finishes this year.
The Women’s Snowcross World Championship (WSNX) will also begin in Joensuu, featuring some of the top female riders in the sport, including:
• Wilma Jonsson (SWE – Ski-Doo) – After finishing runner-up in the 2024 World Championship, Jonsson will be a strong contender for the 2025 title and will look to challenge for wins from the opening round.
• Emma Laamanen (FIN – Lynx) – 4th in 2024, Laamanen is expected to be one of the top Finnish challengers this season, along with Saga Forsell (FIN – Polaris). With Joensuu as the season opener, they will be eager to start strong on home soil.
With a strong lineup of riders coming from as far as Turkiye, USA, Finland, Norway, Slovakia, Sweden, France and Switzerland; an exciting new season ahead, Joensuu is set to be the perfect venue to launch the 2025 FIM Snowcross World Championship.
