Kayseri Erciyes (Turkiye) 9 March 2024 – The new-format three-round World Snowcross Championship was launched in style at the Kayseri Erciyes Snowcross Center with an opening ceremony that was integrated into the Kiss-fest Music Festival run alongside the event in sunny weather despite the freezing temperatures of the snow-covered Turkish heartlands.
The dignitaries were out in force as hosts Radka Mazakova and Tarkan Bulunt welcomed the Turkiye Motorcycling Federation President Bekir Yunus, FIM Delegate Isa Ismaeel Alawadhi, Mayor of Kayseri Memduh Buyukkilic, Governor of Kayseri Gokmen Cicek, and Infront SNX General Manager Patricia Maskarova to the stage.
Amongst the 19 riders from 9 countries which were presented to the fans are three female competitors, racing amongst the men for the first time in the series’ history. The full Women’s Snowcross World Championship will begin alongside the men’s second round on the 13th & 14th of April at Joensuu in Finland.
